you don’t believe me now, but you will
HIGH FIVE, y’all!
Titus Andronicus, currently on tour with Lucero and in a few weeks, Ted Leo, traffic in shambolic, flailing punk with nice layer of pop – ala the Clean, the Clash and the Pogues.

The Exploding Hearts have one crusher of a story – on the verge of their throttling debut, 3 members died in a van rollover accident on I-5. But two cult records live on. Think the Jam, The Undertones, The Buzzcocks.

The Nice Boys come from the ashes of The Exploding Hearts; Terry Six, the only band member to survive, went onto form this swingin’ 60s-owed band in Portland.

Underball only came to me recently at the suggestion of a friend. They toiled around Boston in the mid 90s. Very Superchunk, GBV, etc. They might be the which one of these in not like the other one in this bunch but the line — “And I want my fucking T Rex records back” — fits in nicely.

Gentlemen Jesse stims the part of the sweet pop brain where Elvis Costello, The Plimsouls, The Raspberries and Mersey Beat stoofs live.
