again, with the freakin canadians, but this time they come as a collective or collaborative, whatever you want to call it. the pale air singers are made up of members of calgary’s cape may and victoria’s run chico run. dont think i have heard of either, but no matter. im currently on track 4, “horse trade,” and its got kind of a girls can tell era spoon vibe going on, which is always good, but really it doesnt sound much like spoon, just the vibe. the opener “convict escpes,” almost sounds like an americana-y sea and cake, and thus far into their debut is definitely my favorite track. actually i just moved onto track 5, “cubby, he chopped me down,” which is a nice little disjointed pop piece. i’m going to go ahead and recommend this….
