rip, vic. this one has hit me pretty hard, i gotta admit. justin has a very nice tribute to him over at aquarium and kristin hersh set up a donation page to help offset some of the expenses and also wrote up a very touching tribute to him.

I was shocked when I head Vic had died; I saw him a few weeks back when he played in Brooklyn, and he seemed…well…he seemed hasppy to be there, to be playing. I know it’s selfish to think so, but it’s sad think that that’s it for him, that now we’re left with records he’s already made and nothing else.
cool that you got to see him recently. sadly, i havent seen him since probably 2002, but my memory of the show was that it was brilliant. i guess those 1/2 hours of happiness every other night werent enough to keep him going? very sad indeed.
