hey how about that fairly lame kick off to wwdc yesterday. you may or may not care, but i am a huge tech geek. the new 13″ macbook pro looks pretty hot, and especially at $1199. there’s no way im getting one, but if i could afford it, i would definitely be purchasing one. but, here’s what i came away with after reading the comments on engadget, gizmodo, and some on twitter: you(general) iphone peoples need to cool the fuck out. people are acting as if the iphone is/was their first foray into the world of dealing with cellphone companies. sadly, if you sign a contract and get a phone at a discounted price you dont get to the next version at a discounted price, just cause its out. you gotta wait, just like the rest of us. i got my curve in december, and most likely sprint will be releasing a new blackberry before the end of the year. sadly, i dont get to upgrade at a discounted price just cause they released a new one. no, i gotta wait til my 22 mos are up, and then i can get one at a discounted price or i just pay whatever its the retail, rape me, price is. this kinda mass iphone user mentality is slightly disturbing to be quite frank….
anywho, dont know if you caught it last year, but vic chesnutt and elf power put out a record that they called dark developments. i didnt listen to it much, admittedly, not cause it isnt any good, in fact quite the contrary, but i kept on forgetting to put on the ol ipod. this show gives ya the chance to check it out, cause they run through it in sequence, tracks 2-9. great sounding and very entertaining soundboard from the pour house in james island, sc on 2.6.09. grab the flac here. thanks to brooks wilson….
