good morning, denizens of the internets. as it turns out, those sweet demos are actually part of a two disc set, and as luck would have it matthew @ addicted to vinyl has the first part. who knew? well matthew did, i suppose.
listen to dawes yet? i cant stop… awesome stuff.
that western skyline via daytrotter – favorite song of the year, thus far
when my time comes
i thought this one was gone for good, but alas it lives! here are the afghan whigs at the paradise club in boaston on 4.5.94.
debonair
turn on the water
be sweet
the dark end of the street
what jail is like
regret
gentlemen
i’m her slave
when we two parted
fountain and fairfax
come see about me
you my flower
when doves cry
retarded
my curse
“When My Time Comes” and “Love Is All I Am” are on heavy rotation here as well.
And props have to be passed out to Daytripper. At least three times a week they have something great/sublime.
Thanks so much for the Afghan Whigs. However, there seems to be no connection for “I’m here slave”. Can you check please ?
Cheers.
@biff yeah daytrotter is awesome. in my book the best music site on the nets.
@tom, i seem to have no issues downloading it. try it again, ok?
Thanks for sharing!
“I’m her Slave” is not working for me either.
very odd. i took out an apostrophe, which sometimes causes issues. it hopefully works now. i just tested it, and it worked for me?!
Agreed on the Dawes. Thanks much for the recommendation. They have a very unique sound and lyrically very solid.
@gregor It came fine now. tks again!

“That Western Skyline” sounds like The Band with vocals by Steve Winwood *g*. Great stuff.
