As promised, Thin Lizzy – Philo In Philadelphia – Live October 1977 at the Tower Theatre
Note from seeder: “This a live Show from October 26th 1977. Some songs were “polished up” and used for the famous Live and Dangerous CD. The sound is great, it is a soundboard recording. The versions of Dancing In The Moonlight or Warrior are awesome. There are also songs like Johnny which was rarely played. Great songs, great audience talk from Phil Lynott. The show with the best sound. I have a lot of recordings, this is the best! Better than the official ones!”

I didn’t think it was possible. I didn’t think a grown man (38), who plays guitar (pretty good too), who bled classic rock in high school (and beyond), didn’t know the “Cowboy Song.” But that is what I was met with Sunday night, after Dave and I attended the (fairly epic) Ryan Adams show. “You’ve never heard THE COWBOY SONG?!” Times like these you know why you dropped $400 on your iJob and you break it out and get that $1.25 back and rock it in the car (hello – front seat only here kids), like it was the last days of summer (cos it is), and you play the frickin thing like 8 times back to back (because that’s what a few $10 beers – and the last days of summer – will do to a person).
Best. Thin Lizzy Song. Ever.

Fear not – Dave is converted. And a TL boot on way once I’m out from under REAL work. Oigh.
