y’all probably know how i feel about remixes, and if you dont, ill lay it out simply, i usually hate em. the only remixes i like are public enemy remixes from the late 80′s – early 90′s. granted there are a few i like, but the majority, not so much. so, when i heard about a remix of probably my favorite song of the year “get me in room,” off my favorite record of the year no one knows what happens next, i had to check it out. its cool, i could do without the rapping, cause i dont think it necessarily fits, but i dig the beats.

hallelujah the hills “nightingale lightning” video premiere

it is with my great pleasure to premiere the video for hallelujah the hills’ “nightingale lightning,” the second single off what i think is going to end being my favorite record of the year, no one knows what happens next. i have been listening to it non-stop since i first laid ears on it a few months back, and dammit there’s a reason for that! its a great freakin record. sure i was a fan of their two previous records, but this seems like a whole different band, and one finally realizing their collective greatness. do yourself a favor and grab it, now!

boston’s hallelujah the hills have been a favorite of mine since i first heard em back when i first started this place, back in 2005. its weird that i rarely talk about em cause i listen to their catalogue quite a bit, but eh im lazy. either way, they have a new record coming out on 5.22 entitled no one knows what happens next. i have a feeling that silence is about to end cause if this song is any indication of the entire record, i could see it being a top 10 contender cause ive listened to this about 20 times in a row, no joke. i really cant wait to hear the entire thing. as it stands, this is definitely a top 10 song of 2012, for me, right now.
