been on a huge lyle lovett kick as of late. not sure what brought it on, but im pretty sure spotify had something to do with it. i am both loving and hating spotify, for what its worth. i love the player, hate the file management. it’s so half baked. what i had to do is create playlists a, b, c, through the whole alphabet and place artist playlists in corresponding fashion. the shit should just be alphabetized out of the box. ehh, regardless back to mr. lovett. you’d be hard pressed to find a cooler dude/performer than this man. everything he does just sounds natural, never forced, like whatever he’s singing or doing is just another appendage – if that makes sense. its all about soul, too, and this guy has it comin out his ass. if you have never bothered checkin him out, i definitely recommend the road to ensenada, joshua judges ruth – which is in my top 50 of all time, and pontiac. shit, i celebrate his entire catalogue but i would start with those. btw, this show took place at the paramount theater.
