hey chicago! how about them cubbies? yeah, luckily i am not a cubs fan. i will say this. being a chicagoan of 29 years, i love all chicago teams. although, and of course, not equally. go sox!
i love marnie stern, because not only is she hot, but, most importantly, her guitar virtuosity will burn your pubes off, or something like that. the girl freakin finger taps as if she were nuno bettencourt – yeah he was in extreme, but how many guitarists do you see hammerin down like that now-a-days? let alone a freakin woman? take the fact that she’s a chick out of the equation, even though i brought it up, this non gender specific person freakin rocks.
her new kill rock stars release, due out on tuesday, is painfully titled this is it and i am it and you are it and so is that and he is it and she is it and it is it and that is that.

hola! so new ipods out today, supposedly. i am truly hoping that they come out with a 64 gig touch for about $399. not that i have any business buying one, but thats what i wishing upon a star for. they have to drop that 32 gigger to $299 or $349 or something. hmm, gizmodo is reporting rumours that no new storage bumps on the touch, but if they can drop it to $299 i may have to indulge myself or if someone wants to send me one, i would be forever grateful.

for those that werent able to make exile in guyville recreation shows, here be your chance to hear what went down. sadly, i havent been able to hear much of it as of yet, but its a nice sounding recording. btw, did you happen to check out her matrix inspired “fuck you” to the mainstream? oh its fucking bad. hit idolator up to view. you have been warned though. as one of the commenters stated “usually with acting this bad somebody eventually gets naked” or something like that. pretty much sums it up though.

its rare that a record recorded by a woman kicks my ass. sadly, they have been few and far between the over the span of past 5 or 10 year. sadly, the only group of ladies capable of kicking said ass is sleater kinney and early pj harvey. its been my experience that when female artists attempt to “rock out,” to put it lamely, they come across as comical/cartoonish. marnie stern is anything but comical. she brings the rock, in a weird sonic youth meets joe satriani kinda way. not as artsy as sonic youth, and definitely not as masturabatory as satch’s guitar prowess. miss sterns kill rock stars debut, in advance of the broken arm, is like a sonic boom being filtered through a megaphone going off in a rinky dink studio apartment in the middle of some urban metropolis.? i would be remiss if didnt make note that she’s pretty hot too.
