by now youve probably already heard this, but i wouldnt be much of a pavement/malkmus fan if i didnt at least briefly talk about it. this of course being “senator” the first song off the new malkmus and the jicks record entitled mirror traffic which is due out on 8.23. sadly, i just read its the last jicks record with janet weiss. possible sleater kinney reunion in the works? hope, pray, dream. the record was produced by beck, btw, which i guess is cool, but his stock as dropped about 1000 fold since i found out he was a scientologist. still, i should learn to separate his personal shit from his musical. i havent even listened to the song yet, cause i am waiting on the whole thing which i hope will show up shortly. you can read more about the release here via the matador blog.
