ryan adams’ elizabethtown demos

top of the morning to you all. two things: anyone see the knowing with nic cage? it wasnt actually as bad as i thought it was going to be, but damn that ending just ruined it for me. not gonna give anything away, but yeah it was pretty awful. secondly, last night the wife was craving some salad that apparently you can only get at whole foods and cause baby gets what baby wants, we made our way over there. i ended up picking up an i.p.a. that i had never heard of before called amnesia i.p.a. and holy shit is it good and potent. i had three of em, and it kinda knocked me on my ass. its a little pricey, 10 bucks for a 6 pack, but i blame that on whole foods’ ridiculous pricing structure.

thanks again to the fine folks over at the scott ford message board for the hookup on these ryan adams demos for a bunch of stuff he recorded for cameron crowe’s elizabethtown. yeah that movie was pure shit. for those that care, scott seems to be healing as he should and is recovering from his surgeries. still i am sure he could use some extra cash money for all the damn rx bills. if ya got a buck or two, throw some his way…

I’m a big sap too. I watch it everytime its on TV, but I’m from Louisville. Kirsten Dunst and Orlando Bloom were very nice when I met them out to dinner here during filming.

hope all you ‘mericans had a lovely and safe 4th! here’s a band, midnight, that hailed from the southside, or south suburbs – country club hills, homewood and olympia fields all of which i spent plenty of time in, of chicago in the mid to late 1970’s. i’ve never heard their 1974 release, into the […]
