rome fortune "wanted"

Posted by doubter on Wednesday, August 17th, 2011

firstly, if anyone wants a spotify invite i got ten of em. so all ya gots to do, if you want one, is hit the bother me link up there and email me your email address and ill send it right out. the free version, alone, is pretty cool, even though you have to deal w some bullshit ads from time to time, from what i hear.

secondly, sometimes i need to break out of my little musical cocoon that i have settled into and listen to and maybe even post something i wouldnt normally touch. well, thats what im doin here. i got a nice email from a nice young man/hip hop artist that goes by the name of rome fortune. he’s from atlanta but is now based out of nyc. he blew sunshine up my ass, and even if he didnt mean that he visits captains dead on the regular, he seemed sincere and sometimes that can go along way. btw, if i got a dollar for everytime someone sent me a canned email with the phrase “im a huge fan of your blog/captainsdead” i wouldnt be beggin for donations right now. now back to the song, beat wise i dig it cause it sounds very diy-ish, and i can appreciate that, his voice is pretty laid back, again appreciate that, lyrically, well its not really my thing, but put it all together and its not a bad song at all. in fact i was bumpin it in the 05 hyundai earlier today. so check him out, or dont… i will give him a piece of advice, get off myspace bro! spend 5 bucks a month for a real site, or just use bandcamp or something…
