richard buckner "willow" via sleepover shows – video

if you know anything about me, you know a lot of my musical world revolves around richard buckner. his music has been a huge, huge, huge inspiration to me, and my so called life. sadly, me thinks he hasn’t caught on like he should, which is a goddamn shame to the highest power. i can almost guarantee you that in a few years, or if i have anything to say about it, the music of richard buckner will be fully recognized. hopefully it wont be too late. he’s a top 5 artist of all time for me, and i celebrate his entire catalogue to the fullest. if you want a starting point, i would go with devotion & doubt, since, the hill, and bloomed, but you cant go wrong with any buckner release. the hill, which isnt an actual buckner penned record but a take on edgar lee masters’ spoon river anthology is probably his most heartbreaking work. he took a bunch of masters poems and put them to song, and if you have never read spoon river anthology i cant recommend enough.. if you have a kindle its actually free via amazon. oh, the whole point of this post was to promote richards first 7,” for record store day which is tomorrow, and includes the above song “lost” and a cover of the cars “candy-o.” the above video was taken from the site sleepover shows which have a bunch of awesome videos worth checking out.

buy some buckner stuff via amazon or via merge.
