durham, nc’s red collar are making there way to the circle bar, here in new orleans, for a show on 6.16. sadly, i am going to be out of town at the time, so im not going to be able to make it. but, from all the reports i am hearing is that they put on one helluva show, and apparently durham’s indy weekly recently crowned them “the best live band in the triangle right now.” knowing a little something about that area, i would have to say thats a pretty nice compliment and damn it all to hell for me having to miss this. their recently released and brian paulson produced, pilgrim, is pretty damn solid and finds its way somewhere tween the hold steady, the clash and lucero. interesting listen for sure…
