i was in milwaukee a few weeks ago and it appears that Shank hall is alive and well.
Shank Hall is indeed there. They took their name from a fictional place where Spinal Tap played in their movie. (The Tap has never played in the subsequent real place.)
If there wasn’t a drummer I’d've thought that was a picture of Big Black. Kid looks like a young Steve Albini
