here’s a new feature im starting today, and if you read the title you probably already understand the gist of this “feature.” im going to randomly choose one email every few days and well you can figure out the rest. first up to bat is orlando’s van gumby a name that was chosen as an homage to their cities basketball czar, stan van gundy. their recently released masters of panic ep isnt a bad listen, in facts its pretty enjoyable. sure its not as awesome as the press release led me to believe, likening, their sound at least, to slanted and enchanted and bee thousand – two of my favorites as you probably know. to my ears they remind more of apples in stereo and beulah – another band they likened themselves too, which are two bands you could do a lot worse than sounding like.
