ohvaur’s not what this century wants

if there’s one music jurno that i really cant stomach it’s jim derogatis. here’s my issue with him: how can he, in good conscience, have anything critical to say about any artist when his band, vortis, sucks so freakin hard? maybe i’m just holding some unfounded grudge against the guy for having to look at his face in the sun times for so many years? that very well could probably part of it, but they still suck. interestingly enough, even me and jimbo see eye to eye from time to time. this particular time its regarding the chicago, by way of miami and wisconsin, band ohvaur. he likes em, i like em, blah blah blah, lets not make a big deal of it. anyway, been listening to their ep for about a month and i dig what their doing. i like sounds, and they do a great job of creating an electronic landscape/base and then adding live instruments/vocals on top of said base. definitely look forward to hearing more from these lads…
