oneida kinda fell off my radar after secret wars, which was 4 records ago. i hear everything since has been pretty stellar, but still havent listened to any of it. no better way to get back into em than a triple album?!? yep, rated o is a triple record, and is also the middle child of the “thank you parents” trilogy – 08′s preteen weaponry was the first installment. here are three tracks from the 7.07 jagjaguwar release.

i wasn’t crazy about preteen weaponry (think i’ve listened to it once al the way through), but the Wedding is just fucking awesome; certainly worth checking out. also, re: the Perkins video above, it seems weird he would chose one of the slowest, most dour songs on the album to make a single out of. either way, good song, interesting video
actually, gabe that perkins song is the third single. first one was shampoo and second was doomsday…. im still on the fence regarding going back and checking out “weaponry” but feel like i kinda should if this trilogy actually melds together.
