I saw them in 1990 in the UK whilst I was visiting! They did rock but at that time the grunge sound was unheard of….and yep – I can see why Nirvana was a fan!

Nice, I hadn’t heard this one. I was a sucker for the superfudge/bigmuff cassette years ago, the recent cd reissue has a whole berlin show from the 80s and is a riot. Ya, I saw them in Austin and they blew the doors off of poor old Liberty Lunch – was prob later than you saw them though, maybe 97? Touch me I’m sick was always a rallying cry for me too, such great stuff, and those fuzzzzy guitars, Mark Arm’s screaming were/are perfect.

Also Here comes sickness, the BBC ‘best of’ has a uk festival show on it too, worthwhile if just for their cover of Hate the police.

i may say a lot of records are “great,” and thats no lie. i rarely say a record is a “masterpiece.” in fact i probably can say that for only about a dozen or so records. the everybodyfields 2007 release, nothing is okay, is a masterpiece. its probably the most gorgeous and heartbreaking record i […]
