this album was a mainstay for most of the 90s for me… and i still drop it in regular rotation…. could never really get into the next album and stopped following after that — but just looked him up on wikipedia and see a number of newer releases so I’m off to give his later stuff a listen, and spin ‘it’s only time’ again!
I left comment on all the YouTube clips because I personally became aware of the song via a video promo Mark was in where the song is played at a cafe during a rain storm and couple sits at a table with the camera facing the them and the rain at the window outside, Mark playing in a corner of the room, with the ambient sounds of the couple bickering in low tones, It’s so evocative it perfectly suits the song, yet impossible to find that clip version!
