granted, i didnt live in new orleans for a super long time, 4 years, but it surprises me that i never heard of luke winslow-king during my residency. sure i cant keep up with everything, but still i wish i would have. well, as you can guess mr winslow-king lives in new orleans and he has a new record coming out entitled the coming tide which is out on 4.23 on bloodshot records. i am definitely digging his vibe which is absolutely reminds me of new orleans. i just picture me and the wife stumbling into some dark hole the wall at 3 am on frenchmen or pick a street and this song being played. as per usual havent heard the entire thing, but i hopefully will have it in my grubby little mitts, soon.

he’s playing at the french quarter fest on 4.14 – something i will hopefully be attending
11 AM – full band – popeye’s esplanade in the shade stage
3 PM – solo – bmi songwriter stage
