lucero and william elliott whitemore live at tipitina's, 3.11

could not be more excited about this show at tips, but not sure if i more excited to see whitmore, who i have never seen, or hear how the new lucero material is gonna play out live. either way, this should be go down as one of the better/best shows of the year. what y’all think of the new record? i personally love it, but i am sure there are some dieheard fans out there that dont quite appreciate their progression, but really you would have to not been listening to see this coming. sure, the grit is gone, but all in all i think the songs are more solid, and with addition of the horns, etc i think it makes for a more interesting and substantial listen. but hey thats just me!

women & work comes out next tuesday

sometimes off women & work
old devils- off whitmore’s field songs
