kid, you’ll move mountains

my goal for 2010 is to try and post at least ten times a week. it really shouldnt be that hard, considering i have been doing that for the better part of 4 years, but judging by my output as of late, it may very well be. my slowdown really has just been due to my recent bouts with these god damn panic attacks, which for some reasons seemed to have been plaguing me for the past couple months. they just came out of nowhere, and i really cant pinpoint their cause, which is even more irritating. anyone else battle these lil fuckers? anyway, enough about my various pre-occupations.

you’ve all probably read about these folks a bit by now, so ill spare ya the gory details, but kid you’ll move mountains is made up of members of the now defunct groups chicago’s troubled hubble and inspector owl and the milwaukee group, el oso. for their full pedigree, check their site. their record, loomings, was released earlier last year, but of course im just getting around to it. it reminds me el mucho of what was going on in chicago during the mid-90′s, pop songs but with random time changes, jangly/ringing guitars but to keep things more interesting they throw in the always welcome guy/girl vocal trade-offs. oh, did i mention it was free? no, i didnt. yeah, well it is and as far as free or even records that you pay for, its pretty great. highly recommended and grab it here.
