kathleen edwards “change the sheets”

Posted by doubter on Friday, June 15th, 2012

yesterday, on twitter kathleen edwards posted a tweet which half i cant remember, but the other half was that she stated that her label had stopped promoting her record. at that point, i thought, shit i had not done anything on it and i listen to it quite often cause its quite marvelous. then i started thinking, have i ever done anything one said woman and her music? as it turns out, in 7 years, i have not. really a fucking shame cause she’s really great. i have been a fan since her debut which was in 93 or 94 and is entitled, failer and also her subsequent releases asking for flowers and back to me.

cant post about everything, but still a damn shame cause the woman is talented as all get out. her most recent release voyageur was released earlier this year, and much like her other records, its great. my bonny bear, justin vernon, plays on the record and is also plays the role of engineer. this record seems a little more poppier than her previous but she wears it well. if you’re a fan of sarah harmer, aimee mann, whiskeytown, etc you will definitely dig this record, and really any of hers.

I love this album and all of her records. She is tremendous live too.

I really like this record. I’ve only listened to it on Rdio, but think I’ll buy it to spite her record company

Aimz is so correct. Do not miss an opportunity to see her live. Charming, funny, somewhat potty mouthed, not to mention, incredible music. She puts everything into her shows.
