if you’ve been visiting these parts for a while you will then be aware of my love for jill andrews, well not for the woman, per se, although she sure is lovely and im sure shes a swell person, but for her music. she is releasing her debut record the mirror on 6.7. it was recorded in north carolina by scott solter (superchunk, etc) and in nashville by neilson hubbard (glenn phillips, etc). it sounds like she’s going into a little bit of a more poppy vein, but it fits her well, me thinks. im sure she hasnt abandoned her countrified roots all together, but its just the vibe im pickin up on the first track. i wish i could stream the song here, but the code is breaking the site. so, just hit the “grab it now” button and it will direct you to her site. she’s also doing some touring so check the dates on her site as well.
