i love that guy!
i wanted to share with you guys an interesting show/pairing i ran across the other day. its the grateful dead playing with the beach boys on 4.27.71 @ the filmore east. i would love to know how this pairing came about. anyone got the scoop on this?

wow. a contender for the hairiest live show ever, i reckon. it looks like this happened during the multi-band performance they had when the fillmore east closed. lots of them here:

Great show, but thought I’d let you know that according to setlist.com, the only songs in which the dead and beach boys are playing together here are ’searchin’ and ‘johnny b goode.’ ‘good vibrations’ and ‘i get around’ are beach boys only.

Searchin, Riot In Cell Block #9, Help Me Rhonda, Okie From Muskogee and Johnny B. Goode were all with the Beach Boys. The Boys themselves (and only them) did Good Vibrations and I Get Around.
