afternoon to you all. i never got to see mr smith, but i had every intention in doing so. if it werent for that god damn gus van sant and the douchebag brothers, i would have seen him. two, three or four weeks before the oscars, elliott was scheduled to play at the empty bottle. a few weeks before that, i happened to be catching a show at the bottle and had planned on purchasing tickets at said time. when i asked the lovely lass for a pair of tickets, she had the gall to inform me that they had been sold out for “weeks.” she then went onto describe, in loving detail, the “suburban assholes” that were snatching up the tickets. she felt bad, i could tell, but it didnt help my plight any. eh, such is life i suppose.

EDIT: apparently i like to retell this story cause i re-enacted this story in the last smith post i did.
