interpol live at the 40 watt athens, ga 3/1/03

Here’s a nice Turn on the Bright Lights era Interpol show from the 40 Watt in Athens, GA. These guys never sounded quite as good as they did on Turn on the Bright Lights, in my opinion. That being said, this album remains in some made up list of albums I listened to a lot in the 2000′s.

The record has a strange quality about it, it’s one of those albums that was the soundtrack for about six months somewhere in ’02-’03. “NYC” and “Obstacle 2″ were the highlights back then, though I still enjoy the entire record. Other records define other times, but this one will always remind me of my place on Clybourn Ave and lots of bad decisions.

Enjoy.
