for about 2 minutes in 1992 i was a huge fan of rage against the machine. then all of a sudden something happened. i think, no in fact i know, that i couldnt take any kind of social commentary from a white dude with dreads and/or guy whose “dad is a freaky Chicano artist,” seriously. white dudes with dreads, to this day, are the bane of my existence. i apologize if you are a white dude with dreads but i cant fuckin trust you no matter how much sense you may make. there’s just something unnatural about the whole experience. eh, whatever. i can say that i appreciate their stuff more, today, than back in 1992. but i still havent softened on the white guy with dreads condition.
