see how i treat you guys? i make you, that is if you want to, download 38 songs individually, but smangs packages her shit up in a nice neat little zip file for ya. what a sweetheart she is! here is a gbv bootleg that goes under the name kings ransom: happy motherfuckers and sad clowns and was “released” back in ’00 on vinyl only – i think only 1000 were printed. the show is from 4.28.00 at the be here now club in asheville, nc. you can probably still find some on ebay, although i havent looked in a while. it was never “officially” released just kinda thrown out there, and of course i just kinda bought it.

I remember The Be Here Now… I saw The Jayhawks there around 1999 and I distinctly remember a dog roaming freely around the room. To say security was lax was an understatement and as small as the room was, I’m sure it would have been awesome to be at this show!

the whole, hey lets get really drunk and act like assholes got tiresome right around ’95. pollard never made much of an impression on me live. still, to hear tight globes & peephole live, awesome. lets hope he never gets the idea in his head to tour with richard davies and that god awful cosmos shit. I might have to go or something.
