you wanna get people’s collective mouths salivating for more? umm, make an ep as strong as athen’s the district attorney’s waiting on the calm down, give it away for free, then announce you got a full length coming out on 4.24. said record entitled, slowburner, is coming out on captains dead’s bff’s label, this is american music. oh, and theyre also playing the this is american music/captains dead sxsw tuesday kickoff party at hole in the wall.

now, it may seem like i am in “bed” with this is american music, and you may be half right, but fuck me if they arent releasing some of the best stuff out there right now. so, why not be in “bed” with one of the best? anyway, the district attorney’s ep is like a warm breeze/day in the middle of february. let me splain… imagine you’re in a town that normally records 20 degrees on any given winter day. now, imagine two days later its 60 degrees, its a saturday, the sun is shining, youre enjoying a beer on the back porch, the sun feels warm on your face and life feels perfect even if for a moment. when i listen to these young lads, thats the feeling i get. will it work perfectly as a summer soundtrack? absolutely, but to these ears there is something unnaturally sunny about their sound. either way, its fantastic stuff, and oh yeah its free. for god sake, give em your email address and grab it now. just click that free link up there…

first track is from the ep, the soundcloud is from their forthcoming slowburner.
