dust radio: a film about chris whitley – kickstarter
by gregor on February 2, 2012
as y’all know i am a huge, huge, huge whitley fan, and i want this to get made or at least distributed. they have a hefty goal, but dammit if the internets cant do it, no one can. chris’ music meant a lot to me, and it really pains me to see some of these clips, but still i/we need to see it.

This guy’s music is fantastic. I wish more people were aware of his incredible work. I’ve made it my mission to uncover as much of his music as I can and share with any and everyone. At risk of being characterized as crazy fan talk, I’d say he’s the musician’s equivalent to a famous painter who achieved relatively little while they were alive but would one day become renowned for their artistic endeavors – What I’ll call here, the Van Gogh Syndrome.
Thanks for your efforts to keep his work alive.
Thanks for the mention of Chris and the movie. I fell in love with Chris’s music when I first heard it and got the opportunity to see him live about a year before he passed. When I heard about the movie I was like a little kid. I am lucky enough to be able to contribute to the project and hope that others are able to do so as well.
