happy record store day, everyone! i dont know what record stores do for you, but for me and my soul, they are places of peace, comfort and excitement. i always felt truly at home in record stores, no matter my age or zip code they have always had the same effect or is it affect? some of my favorites have been; discount records, val’s halla, red tower records, quaker goes deaf, wax trax, record swap, hardboiled, criminal records, and the mushroom just to name a few. there’s only one store i have never liked and that is reckless records – even though they have a great selection, i just never liked the people in all honesty. anyway, go out spend a buck or two, help the economy and your local shop.

here’s part one of a dbt show from the visulite theatre in charlotte, nc on 7.29.04. its a soundboard, for the record and the rest will be up in a bit. oh, before i forget you can stream a couple new patterson hood tracks on his myspace page. the two tracks are from his forthcoming, murdering oscar, which is due out on 6.23.
