deltron 3030 live from minneapolis

del the funkee homosapien and dan the automator’s one off record, although i have rumblings of a reunion of sorts, deltron 3030 is by far the best hip hop record to come out in the past 10 years. up until a couple of days ago i had not listened to it in probably 2 years, for reason unknown to me. del’s rhymes/flow and dan’s production make for a pretty wild trip. here is a deltron show from 11.13.2000 at minneapolis’ famed first avenue. btw, kid koala is on the wheels of steel.

Could not agree with you more about the worth of Deltron; it is, as Prince Paul puts it on the album, “imstupituous.” The closest thing to a reunion I know of (though I acknowledge up front I don’t actively seek out news of this sort) is the new track off Automator’s NBA 2K7 soundtrack with Del fronting Hiero, “Don’t Hate the Playa (Hate the Game)”. It’s dope.
