dan auerbach's heartbroken in disrepair video

i have always kinda liked the black keys, but never really “got em.” whats there to “get” you ask? shit i dont know? the point i am getting at is that auerbach’s recently released keep it hid, i get, or something that resembles “getting.” in fact its pretty damn awesome, and that up there is the video for one of my favorite songs of the year “heartbroken in disrepair.”

wow, a bit surprised that you aren’t a Black Keys fan. They are one of my favorites of the last decade. Auerbach’s solo album is shockingly good. Probably in my top 3 for the year. Seeing him live cemented. My expectations were high and he exceeded. Thanks for the video.

yeah i hear that quite a bit acutally. im not too sure what it is about em? it maybe that they are too blues based, and honestly im not much of a fan of the blues. this record, on the other hand, is awesome. love the guitars, lyrically its pretty solid, and too me his voice sounds stronger than on a black keys record.

you know, i said the same exact thing about this album. I never really got into the keys, but this album really hit me for some reason. Whenever I tell people that, they usually say “i don’t understand, it sounds exactly like the black keys records, so i don’t get why you don’t like them…”
