well, i guess this is it, huh? 2010 is just about done, and while i usually wait a little longer to do my end of the year list, i figured at this point it was pretty solidly impacted in my brain. so, there was really no point in waiting. oh, im sure ill hear something between now and the end of the year that will blow my mind, cause thats just the way shit goes. i am not going to talk to much re: the list, and just let the songs i have provided do the talking. why fuck up a good thing w/ talking? i think an ex-girlfriend once said that to me. without further ado…

1. superchunk – majesty shredding
2. strand of oaks – pope killdragon
3. american aquarium – small town hymns

4. the futurebirds -hampton’s lullaby

5. the gaslight anthem – american slang

let the record go

8. glossary – feral fire

9. travel by sea – two states and the blindness that follows

Love the Trampled by Turtles, Glossary and American Aquarium choices. I was kind of meh on the gaslight anthem album. Looks like I have to check out that strand of oak and sun hotel album. Thanks Gregor!
i know a lot of folks werent sold on the gaslight anthem record, but its the first the first one of theirs that i actually paid attention to, and i love it. i need to revisit 59 sound cause i know everyone swears by it.
I’ll have to check a few of these out. I’ve only listened to 3 of the albums on your list. Spot on with the Superchunk and Glossary records. I like both of them a lot.
