bosquebrown

her name is mara lee miller and she hails from denton, tx, but musically is known by the moniker bosque brown. her chosen pseudonym is an ode to a river that runs through her hometown of stephenson, tx. she’s got a voice as big as her native land, and as lovely as watching the sun come up over the gulf of mexico. her recently released, baby, plays out like the soundtrack to a roadtrip through the heart of america with all the beauty and ugliness kept in tact. one thing i find particularly refreshing is that she sounds like a woman in complete control of at least her musical vision. if the new neko has got ya a little down, like myself, you should find solace in baby.

I stumbled across Bosque Brown a while back and immediately fell for her. Great voice, great tunes. She’s the real thing, as you say. Hope more people discover her.
