happy monday, asswipes! honestly, im still on the fence re: bon iver’s latest. somedays i love it like it was my third child, then i just listened to it today, and it was doing nothing for me. i dont think its nearly as good as for emma, but to be fair its a completely different record. if you ask me tomorrow, i may say the complete opposite. amazon got it for a measly 6.99 with a digital book! not sure what that book consists of, but its a book, its free and digital! down there is exactly what the title implies…

…Pretty special stuff – still pales in comparison to seeing him live – but its a rare peek behind the curtain of the great and wonderful Wizard of Oz. There are times in my life when Bon Iver is the only thing that matters and For Emma, is the only album in the world. Very few others that i can say that about – Chan Marshall, Ryan Adams, Arcade Fire, Radiohead, Nick Drake, very few artist have the ability to totally consume me for weeks at a time – Bon is the newest on that list. Thanks for the NPR rip Gregor – your work, as always, is very much appreciated.

Just backed up my earlier appreciative words the good ol’ american way – wish i could have done more. Things will get better.
