my first foray into the world of bob mould came in the form of a best buy ad circa 1992 and their offering of copper blue for a mere $7.99. in retrospect, it is probably the greatest $7.99 plus tax I have ever spent. with that said, copper blue could arguably be the greatest record of all time, in my humble opinion.

here is mr mould on the current from 7.8.05

1. hoover dam

5. i apologize

7. see a little light

I agree, Copper Blue is amazing, and similarly, it’s what turned me on to Bob at about the same time. Funnily, I like it more now than I did then.

    Thanks for the tracks.

I remember listening to Copper Blue on a friend’s crappy walkman on a noisy schoolbus and being totally fucking floored. I really hadn’t heard anything like it at the time, and it really changed my musical life. Looking back, I still don’t know that a more perfect pop record has ever been crafted.
