austin lucas “darkness out of me”

by gregor on June 16, 2011

there are some records that just seem to flow effortlessly from song to song, nothing seems forced or out of place. sadly, those records are few and far between. even with that said, there have been a few this year that fit that description as 2011 has been a pretty decent year. the great records are great, other records, well their just there. one record, me thinks, that fits that mold is austin lucas’ a new home in the old world. ive had it for quite a while now, but its only been the last week that i have given it my full blow attention, and goddamn is it good. the dude has sweet voice, but dont mistake that sweetness for fluff, cause quite frankly his lyrics are def his strong suit. and, please, please, dont take that for what it isnt, cause his voice is so freakin strong, its just his lyrics are up there with the best of em. definitely best of 2011 material.

buy it via amazon its only a measly 7.99. so so so worth it….

Had Austin at Philly Folk Fest in 2009…he was incredible. Definitely one of the good ones

Couldn’t agree more, and it’s available on emusic for $4.90.
Great work, as usual. Thanks for keeping up the good fight.
