arliss nancy “the crease”

Posted by doubter on Saturday, June 23rd, 2012

first off, i am a person who hold grudges, childish as they may be, i still hold em. i have tried for the past 5 years or so to get on the suburban home pr list and you know what i have been met with? silence…. i am only trying help, is that so wrong? so, i am breaking my suburban home boycott to talk about arliss nancy’s newest release simple machines cause its a fantastic fucking record.

surprisingly, i found these guys through some spotify recommendation app who likened them to lucero, slobberbone, glossary, two cow garage, and bands of the semi-like. i really dont hear the glossary, but two cow garage for sure, and to be honest i may actually like em more than two cow, at least at this point. that may be an premature statement, but i feel myself being more connected to simple machines than any other two cow record other than speaking in cursive. micah actually makes an appearance on the song below, “the crease.” if you dig the bands mentioned above, you should find arliss nancy more than to your liking cause their is so much to fucking dig here. its poppy, punky, southern whats not to like about that trio? best of 2012, for sure….

not sure if this deal is still good, but if you buy simple machines via suburban homes you get another copy for free with an instant download all for $9.99. good deal. still the grudge continues…
