see a lot of chatter on twitter regarding the upcoming record store day which is happening across the country on saturday. while i am a huge fan of the concept, i kinda have issues w people snapping up some of the awesome limited edition stuff and then turning around and selling it on ebay. are they even fans? probably not. more like opportunistic douchebags. thats not record store days fault though. so i still support it whole-heartedly.
anywho, one of the cooler things i have seen coming out for record store day is bloodshot records’ no one got hurt compilation which is made up of live tracks from various artists that participated in the their 15th anniversary party at the hideout. the comp features performances by jon langford, the blacks, bobby bare jr, sally timms, alejandro escovedo, and a few more. check out alejandro’s “castanets” right down there. also, read more about it here via the bloodshot site.
