Very cool. I never really checked out the afgan whigs during their hey day even though I played some of the same places they played. Always heard they were good live. You can see the appeal and how they weren’t quite godlike. Their version of Papa was a Rascal kicks ass though.

I’m trying to get my blog going. Would love if you checked it out.

Man, I was at this show, and I’ve been looking for a copy of it since then. I remember it went forever – they just wouldn’t stop playing. Dulli jumped into the crowd near then end and started hugging people, and he gave me a huge drunken bear hug. Amazing show. It was a CMJ show, and if I’m not mistaken, the Lo-Fidelity All Stars opened.

  7. Andy says:

This was my first Whigs show. I was about to leave cause I had to take catch the last train back to NJ cause I had a job interview at 7 a.m the next morning. My buddy Jeff told me I’d miss out if I left and then Dulli jumped on stage and I was sold on the first song and watched them rock out all night.
