this guy has nothing to do with anything, but i stumbled upon his greatness during one of my random googling sessions. what i was searching for and the actual results were a comedic treasure chest.

so, i decided not to hit the cat power show tonight. for no particular reason i was not in the mood to be dealing with the likes of my own. in her honor, here is a peel session recorded back in the ’03.

1. names

2. funny things

3. evolution

4. i dont blame you

got an email from jen, the web mistress and info whore, for the drive by truckers today and it was packed with a few goodies worth passing on for those who didnt receive said email. firstly, patterson and friends, not every dbt member, will be part of the jam cruise which is set to set sail on jan 2 and return on the 7th. secondly, patterson, will johnson, dave barbe and a bunch of other artists will be part of the musick festival. the musick fest is benefitting southern bitch guitarist, wendy musick, who has, unfortunately, racked up some pretty high medical bills. finally, you can now purchase a few dbt ringtones, namely feb 14, easy on yourself and gravity gone, by clicking here.

one of my favorite bands of the past few years is chicago’s own chin up chin up. their we should have never lived like skyscrapers is definitely one of the best records to come out in the past 5 years, and they are following that up with, this harness cant ride anything, which is set to be released on 10.10. they kick off their tour on 10.6 in pittsburgh, and sadly they are not hitting atlanta, at least as of now. check their site for all the details.

this harness cant ride anything
