I thought I was the only blogger who wasn’t in love with Bloc Party. Haven’t heard the new one yet, but I’ve read a couple unfavorable reviews. Guess I’ll check it out at some point.
I have read nothing but good reviews. If you really want to know if you like them try listening to them instead of reading reviews.
Sorry to be so forward. I think the album along with the b-sides are great. That is my opinion though after giving them a good listen!
yeah, rich i am by no means ga-ga over them but i like them enough in small doses. david, have you heard the new record as of yet?
Uh, David, I’ve listened to Bloc Party any number of times. Just haven’t liked them enough to bother seeking out the new album. Not sure why I should feel compelled to do so if I haven’t enjoyed their prior work much. Really, I’m bored with that whole moody dance-rock genre in general.
Lots of people, like you, think they’re great. To date, I don’t. No biggy.
Thanks for the tracks…
The latest stuff sounds “cleaner” than the debut.
