I thought I was the only blogger who wasn’t in love with Bloc Party. Haven’t heard the new one yet, but I’ve read a couple unfavorable reviews. Guess I’ll check it out at some point.

  4. David says:

I have read nothing but good reviews. If you really want to know if you like them try listening to them instead of reading reviews.

Sorry to be so forward. I think the album along with the b-sides are great. That is my opinion though after giving them a good listen!

  5. gregor says:

yeah, rich i am by no means ga-ga over them but i like them enough in small doses. david, have you heard the new record as of yet?

  6. Rich says:

Uh, David, I’ve listened to Bloc Party any number of times. Just haven’t liked them enough to bother seeking out the new album. Not sure why I should feel compelled to do so if I haven’t enjoyed their prior work much. Really, I’m bored with that whole moody dance-rock genre in general.

Lots of people, like you, think they’re great. To date, I don’t. No biggy.

  7. Dan says:

    Thanks for the tracks…

The latest stuff sounds “cleaner” than the debut.

if you know anything about me, you then know my love for hallelujah the hills knows no bounds. both have ever done something evil and no one knows what happens next were my favorite records from 2014 and 2012, respectively. without a doubt they are one of the greatest bands currently making music. “devil level […]

      February 21, 2015

back in 1995, i was way addicted to the damon che’s speaking canaries’ songs for the terrestrially challenged. 21 year old me was blow away by its weirdness. listening to it now, its really not all that strange, its just kind of all over the place – in a good way, but young greg was […]
