working normal hours is great, truly. its been 2 years since i started the dreaded overnight shift, and quite frankly its been hell. sure, i dont have to deal with anyone and i pretty much have free reign to do whatever it is i feel like doing, but all that awesome freedom comes with a price. i feel like shit/tired 98 percent of the time, which pretty much sucks. the only rub working days is just that, i actually have to work. its not really a rub, cause i dont mind exercising me brains now and then, but i really could do without the ever present feeling of being watched. one thing too is that all my schedules are fucked up ie eating, shitting, sleeping, and posting.
so, until i can get my bearings straight and set up a normal posting schedule here’s a new to you post, but not new to captains dead. its richard buckner and doug gillard at bottom of the hill in sf on 5.6.06.

I had a chance to meet Richard Buckner one night last October in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was playing one place, a reunited Superdrag was across the street, and Damo Suzuki of Can was playing three doors over. He was incredibly nice and his performance was amazing. I had to keep scrambling between three clubs over the course of about four hours just to get a little bit of each…
very, cool carlton. yeah i have met/spoken to him a few times and every encounter we had he was super cool. that superdrag reunion show sounds like it would have been awesome. did you ever check out davis’ solo record? not good, imo….
