top of the saturday morning! i dont believe i have ever shared this before but as the title suggests its a bootleg/comp of a bunch of stones songs done in the acoustic manner. my favorite stones song appears on here, and was never released for some reason, and that is “blood red wine.” it may be my favorite cause its in its rawest form, and was never fucked with.
here’s a rar file of the whole thing
1. dear doctor

3. family
4. no expectations
5. sister morphine
6. blood red wine
7. country honk
8. you cant always get what you want
9. you gotta move
10. wild horses
11. all down the line
12. cocksucker blues
13. dead flowers
14. angie
15. the worst
16. out of tears
17. sweethearts together
18. crying waiting hoping
19. please please me
20. cocaine

american wheeze hoarse // as far as i am concern one of the most badass songs ever laid to tape. this is a live version, but the song also appears in studio form on 1996′s sackcloth n’ ashes. if i were to pick up one 16 horsepower record it would be hoarse, and even though its live it has quite a few of their best songs.

hey, howdy, hi! i dont know much about king jim other than he’s probably from london, as one of the tags on his bandcamp page is “london.” the other thing i know is that is ep i still believe is being offered up for free via his bandcamp site and its the first of 3 ep’s which may or may not be limited to 200. he mentioned 200 in his email but not sure if that is referring to cds/vinyl/or the digital downloads. too lazy to ask. so i would go ahead and grab it cause its pretty damn good. very folky but in a 60′s sit in type of way. not that this is a protest record or anything, but it just has that vibe. again, definitely a solid pickup, and its free.

i really need to keep up with who’s appearing on what late night talk show, cause i totally missed black dub on kimmel, which i am assuming was recently. actually, even if i knew who was performing on what show, i would totally miss it cause i cant stay up that late. anyway, there they are performing “truly” on kimmel and down there is a live version of “the last time.” if you havent checked out black dub’s debut, it was number 6 on my best of 2010 list and in case you didnt know its made up of daniel lanois and trixie whitley (chris’ daughter).
